With no previous experience necessary, this workshop is structured to break down complex images of objects into simple steps you can follow and forever apply to your own practice!

What we'll do
Over this four-week workshop you will learn the techniques and skills necessary to execute your very own realistic still-life oil painting, regardless of any previous experience.

Together we will cover:
• Applicable colour theory
• Fundamentals of oil painting
•Traditional layering techniques
• Proportion and composition
​• Mediums and tools
• Spatial relationships
• The mind's idea of an object vs the eye's reality
• Tones and landmarking
• And so much more..

​Everyone is encouraged to take home their finished painting at the completion of the workshop!

What I'll provide
All oil paints, easels, brushes, palettes, mediums, rags, containers, supports and information sheets
will be provided throughout the workshop and are included in the price of the four weeks. Coffee, tea and treats also included.

What to bring
If you so desire, you are more than welcome to bring in your own source material on Day One and spend the workshop painting a still life image of your choosing!
